Re: Cooking during power outage
Unless you were my Dad. Aged twelve he found an unexploded incendiary bomb in the marshes. Being a curious/stupid kid, he took it home and was thankfuly caught by my grandfather before he succeeded in sawing it open in the garden shed.
If he had succeeded I dont thin'k I would be here.

Re: N.H.S. views and experiences
Most GPs of my acquaintance went into medicine to help people like you, Jansman, and will quietly prioritise anyone with a serious issue if possible. But they also see a flood of "worried well" and minor issues thanks to the non-stop horror stories in the press. These are always accompanie...

Re: Prepping when ill or infirm
Thanks everyone. It is good to know I can come and talk when I need to. There seem to be quite a few of us on here facing our own versions of SHTF from age or infirmity and we need to look out for each other. Although Mr GB isnt officially "terminal" he is in a situation where the only fut...

Re: Prepping when ill or infirm
When my Dad knew he was terminal he put together a large file for my Mum which covered every bit of household admin he could think of. Not just the insurance & will information but everything for all household bills, car & general household maintenance. Not quite in Jansman's training video ...
