Le Parfait Glass Jars

*edited as they are le parfait jars*

Aldi are selling pate in le parfait glass jars for £2.79. The empty jars are much more than that to buy at the moment. I went and got 4 today to eat over Xmas and then reuse the jars. I saw this on another site.

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 7.

I have converted some of my dried tomato powder, dried onion powder and spices into a batch of "just add water" generic curry sauce mix. The big benefit to me is that I know know how many meals I can get out of a kilo of tomato powder as "curry". We eat a lot of home cooked curr...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 7.

I've listed all my herbs and spices today and noted down what I have. Am going to do a Buy Wholefoods Online order tomorrow to top up. Then I have a 16kg bag of flour to split into smaller bags, vac pack and start processing through the freezer. One thing that I have never done is to buy a large ba...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 7.

I made mozzarella for the first time today, not a huge prepping thing granted, but it's another skill and something I can make as long as I have milk. I'm going to freeze some of the rennet tablets and have enough citric acid to last a good while. Also made yoghurt from cultures rather than the sac...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 7.

Well I'm having to rethink. Because I depend on Sainsbugs to deliver every week, and tonight I see they have nothing after Dec 19th right through into Jan. I was advised to get the Delivery Pass and paid £20 for 3 months with no delivery fees. I got it because it allowed you to book Christmas slots...

I'm going through all my policies and updating or switching to a better option. Trying to lock in prices for longer. Not very exciting but needs doing.

Re: Ikea Bulb

I saw this on another prepper site and thought it was a cracking idea. A rechargeable light bulb in case of power cuts. https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/tosthult-rechargeable-led-bulb-00400418/ You can unscrew it and walk round with it if you want. It lasts around 2 hours with the power off. It's a nov...
