Re: Importing medical kits and tourniquets?

If you really think you need one a quick search turns up https://www.firstaid.co.uk/search/?term=Tourniquet . Re: Pallet Wood quality Question

I had to look up YMMV but I understand where you're coming from and I certainly can't despite decades of practice claim not to make mistakes. One other advantage of screws is that it can be quieter than nailing which can be a consideration where neighbours might be concerned. Till you break out the...

Re: National grid (electric) look to suspend night time call outs to domestic power cuts

Just replaced the socket by the backdoor noticed last night when I unplugged the extension lead to the shed / tumble drier that the live pin was red hot to the point you couldn't touch it... Plug wires cool inside just the live pin hot so that pointed to either the fuse connection (tight and clean )...

Re: Gas canisters

I have DOZENS wrapped in plastic ( originally) in fireproof boxes in a cool outbuilding ( and fire safe) . 12 years old and perfect. In fact I’ve been reminding my wife how to cook-in an emergency with the same, and the methylated spirit cooker too. ;) The fireproof boxes idea looks interesting. Cou...

Re: National grid (electric) look to suspend night time call outs to domestic power cuts

Have you got a solar charger for the jackery? I picked up a generic ecoworthy rigid 120w panel the other week on Amazon for £50! Just need the appropriate lead to connect then Jackery suggests only using proprietary solar panels. but I took the risk on a 2 rigid 100w panels and this connector: http...
