Re: Prepping when ill or infirm

GeeGee your resilience is amazing and I bet that stew tastes fantastic! Here's hoping that in two weeks you are able to return to some kind of normality and that your OH hasnt been too negatively affected by all of the upheaval. *raises a very large mug of Yorkshire Tea to you*

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 10

You really dont have to be on benefits well certainly not around here to access help (obviously I have no idea of your financial situation and do not intend to pry or offend). You might also be able to access support from your local c...

Oh no I forgot my beetroot

They are still in the ground, well containers. They were pretty big the last time I looked. Life is a bit bonkers at the moment and I just remembered last night that I had not harvested them. If they have survived the frost what are the chances that they are still edible without being too woody? Are...

Re: Garage Fridge Freezer WARNING

Also opted for a specific freezer when we needed one for our garage during lockdown. Defrosted it last weekend for the first time and managed to find a joint of beef which was probably from 2020 which we had for tea last night, bit freezer burnt around the edges but tasted just fine and a few bits o...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 10

Not really a prep, more of an education/encouragement. Bought my grandson a gel cooker and a small cooking set so he can have a go at cooking outside, supervised by his Dad of course. He asked us for a camo rucksack, a child sized one so I thought that this might go with it. He loves camping out in ...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 10

Needed some OTC medication today for a minor issue. Went to the first aid box to find an empty box and no tube of medication. Went to two pharmacies near work, out of stock, supply issues apparently. Phoned two more, looked online and ordered some only to receive a message a few minutes later saying...
