Re: Why I hate candles

Now it is light I have been out to look. There is some heat damage to our plastic window that stands next to theirs . Also smoke damage? to the recently painted rendering. Nothing major, but I will go and see my insurance broker in the morning and see how to proceed. More aggro! It was quite a spec...

Re: Tins (Oxo, Old Holborn etc)

And people buy tins as pressies, especially this time of year. I've got a lovely, good sized tin with black cats on  that I now use to store my camera gear. Nothing impressive, but it stops the dust gathering, sits behind my laptop, always available. I've got a tiny little tin just availabl...

Re: Importance of a filter!

Sounds really great!

Re: Bugging in. Where to start?

I have one week of storecupboard eats all together, but everything else (about a million years of dried beans  for instance) is stashed into plastic crates upstairs, or on a bookcase in the kitchen. First aid items have their own crate. For the hundred thousandth time, stop exagerating ! :lol...

Re: My New BOL/Allotment Diary

Gorgeous! As filsgreen said, very neat, very tidy :) and I love the emphasis on the grapes :D

Interesting how high you've raised that bed for the carrots - do you grow them there each year? Does that create any problems (if you do)?

CJB, yep, I know where your partner's coming from, as I work in that kind of area myself ... but its not true of everyone, as you know. It can be - but in every walk of life, there are people who pursue an aim sensibly, or intensely, or crazily. Plenty of people like pop music (to give a mainstream ...

Welcome to the forum! It's great that you've joined, and in response to your question, my advice is to keep on joining in - longer term members will want to know something of you online for a little while, before meeting IRL. Just my twopennorth.
