Re: When your SO completely fails as a prepper (light hearte

Once I jokingly mocked the floor to ceiling pile he had in the bathroom (8 x 24 packets) at which point he showed me the hall cupboard with another matching stash. Only 16 x 24 packs? :o He's no prepper then! That'll not last a year! Mine are stored in the bathroom attic. My excuse for so many is t...

Re: "Tern" brand folding bikes

To be fair modern basic bikes don't need much tweeking get a bike with Shimano gears and shifters and providing it's looked after they don't need much TLC You will find mountain bikers spend more time stripping and servicing their iron horses as the mud and grit gets into everything ... Get it in t...

Re: Spectacles

I'm not sure I see any real advantage personally. They still hang around your neck, only they could slip off and you could loose them as they are open. The joint will weaken over time, and from the video everybody touched the lens with their fingers thats going to leave fingerprints that would make ...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 5.

I don't know what the lidl ones are like but some of the cheapy rechargable torches/battery banks can become live at mains voltage and can be dangerous. I would think a lidl one would be safe but it might be worth checking before touching any metal parts.

Re: Air Gun Licence for England ?

Good post Tom, totally agree, licencing won't stop people doing bad things, horrible b'stards that think its acceptable to hurt animals will still do it anyway, there are plenty powerful catapults out there even if they can't get an air rifle. We can't just ban or prohibit everything, its awkward a...

Re: WW3 - logic

I'd rather Live then Survive, my plans are all based on this........ That said I don't think its likely to ever get bad enough that I'll need to stock up on 'Easy Red' for a personal exit strategy (PES if you fancy a new acronym) What's Easy Red, please? And I was going to ask what PES was and then...

Re: Spectacles

I get my glasses from Specsavers where on most of their frames you get 2 for 1. My glasses are always in my bag when they are not on my face, with the spare pair on the shelf under the telly being more for when inevitably I will sit on my main pair! I like those magnetic glasses. I saw them o...
