We have also been vacuum sealing our flour (as we do with rice) which seems to be working well. Paper bagging it into smaller Ikg amounts and sealing in food grade buckets with oxygen absorbers. Vaccum sealed bags.jpg I prefer to pour out 1.5kg lidl flour into 20kg large mylar bags within a 20l buc...

I was about to comment that oil can't really be stored very long-term without going rancid but re-checked my "facts" before doing so & found athta Olive Oil can be (properly) stored for up to 24 months or so so I've no idea what put in my head that it was more like 6 months.... What i...

There hasnt been much discussion about how we are going to pay for all this money being spent during the pandemic. Just managed to escape Austerity after 10 years and back into a deeper Austerity for 20. Who can concieve of what would be cut now and what would skyrocket.
