Re: Nuclear Bunker for £200k

That is amazing! I actually would have bought that myself if I had the dosh and knew it existed. I am a big fan of nuclear bunkers. This looks in very good order, would love to look around it. Talking of bunkers, I found this ages ago - http://www.bunkershield.co.uk - interesting website but I don't...

Re: 10 year olds purse

I don't know how mature your niece (without that sounding like I'm being mean - I'm not!!) is, but maybe something small of sentimental value? Like a photo or a keyring or something along those lines that she occasionally likes to look at when she's feeling upset. To be honest, there's not much more...

Buying Gold and Silver online?

Does anybody trade gold and silver online? I've been looking into online trading into gold and silver as I want to invest in bullion. I've not made my mind up how I want to invest. I've considered buying physical metals which is obviously relatively safe (as long as you have the storage and security...

Re: Out of date cans?

I think coffee goes stale in an opened jar, Mr D is always moaning about stale coffee at his mothers, she drinks a different blend so every time we go up there she brings out the previous visits jar and its not nice. But sealed in packets "should" be OK, I would do a test on a batch befor...

Re: Out of date cans?

the coffee will set only f it gets damp Reminds me of an incident many years ago. I don't drink coffee but kept a jar purely for visitors at the time , un married and living alone. Friend turns up one day and for a change asks for a cup of coffee rather than the usual tea. Goes to the cupboard to f...

Re: Anyone want some kefir grains?

How exactly do you consume kefir? Are they boiled, dried, melted into food or what? Sorry I'm not much of a Jamie Oliver in the kitchen.

Re: Home invasion

I am a dog fan, looking to get a lurcher within the next couple of years (not for home security, mind!)

To be honest we don't need a guard dog, I've got my partner and I pray for anybody who gets in to our property to have to face my missus' in a foul mood. Good luck is all I would say!

Re: Out of date cans?

Thanks, Decaff.

Well I want to bulk buy tea and coffee, now there's a good offer for 2300 teabags for £44.99 at the moment and I can buy sachets of like 200 granulated coffee but I didn't want to purchase if the life expectancy is only a couple of years.

Re: Out of date cans?

While we are on this subject does anyone know what the longevity is like for sachets of granulated coffee and tea bags?
