Re: Paracord Bracelets

Couple of good size but lightweight carabiners are included in the kit, not suitable for climbing though, more to hang a bit of light kit off belt or pack...a few little oddment too to hang on key ring, like a mini-led light.

I’m glad I bought these but will see just how useful they are over time....

Red skies

Yes, making one of the bracelets yourself is a bit of an art/craft in itself...seen some instructions around on the net on how to do it..kind of a weave or pleating sort of thing.

Such is an aspect never thought of before, prep gear in plain sight so to speak... :)

Re: Tool Kits, Including Cordless Drill, etc

Working on it...got stuff like that, but not located in the one pack/location...yet

Attempting to get the other ‘pointy’ ‘tooly’ sort of kit first, that others may not have, or less common...Inspector Gadget(s)..no helicopter rotors out the top of my head though :D

Re: Paracord Bracelets

Only just found out that part of the clip is an inbuilt firefighter, a whistle, plus on the outer band a compass...how damn clever...thought it was just a decorative bracelet with compass

Paracord Bracelets

Noticed in my mini survival kits, there are paracord bracelets, have to confess thought they were more ornamental Survivalist items, never really thought they were a way of securing a length of cord on your person at all times.

Rookie mistake I guess...

Re: Hi all

I’ve only been here a short time, shoestring Budget prepper (sort of), well behind many here it seems with equipment, supplies, etc., but thinking on these terms is something I guess, than ignoring possibilities arising that you don’t need to hit the ground running, having nothing ready. Interesting...

Re: Tool Kits, Including Cordless Drill, etc

Well, these little bits of survival kit have arrived, including also the folding saw, pruning knife, quite pleased with the quality, not exactly hard-core prepping I know, but better something than nothing meantime...nice metal whistles, fire starters look okay, multi function knife, etc. Will try t...

Re: Tool Kits, Including Cordless Drill, etc

Thanks. Yes, I have admitted to being on a budget, but in the good times (having a bit of cash) tend to try and go for better quality items, best of both worlds I guess, buying stop-gaps until I can get something a bit more dependable, but at the same time having the second-choices as back-ups. I’m ...

Re: Multi Functional Axe or Claw Hammer Tool

They are advertised on amazon U.K.

Think they’d need to be actually seen firsthand to get an idea of weight, strength and practicality

Multi Functional Axe or Claw Hammer Tool

I almost...not to say that I won’t...purchased both models of these, could be termed Swiss Army Axe/Hammer...based on the multi function knife of the same title, but wavered. Axes aren’t the norm here, unless in the country, with log fires, etc., though do have other purposes, but it isn’t a tool I’...
