Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 7.

We've measured up for new shelves in the attic this weekend ready to fit next week. We're in a flat so no outside space but a big attic. I can't wait to get everything organised so I can see where I am up to, its all a bit erratic at the mo. I've also increased my buying this week as I have started...

Re: FFP3 fabric

I am looking for some FFP3 fabric to make some filters from for my own masks. I know people were using duct filters and breaking them down but you can't get hold of those for a reasonable price at the mo. I don't trust anything from China either as so many fake products. Does anybody have any ideas...

Re: Time to time

Hi, I am an intermediate prepper, one of whom "bugs in". I may have some question from time to time, I hope that you don't mind. Hi, and welcome. Questions are more useful than answers, so fire away. We've all had a chance to bug-in recently, so proving that prepping for that was a good idea. We le...

Re: Where to buy FFP3

I thought that might be the case. I will have a look round and hopefully might fall on some just at the right time :) Obviously keep an eye on screwfix, toolstation and wickes websites, but you'll be lucky to get a few ffp2. But also try your local tile suppliers. They'd be expensive, but you might...

Re: Hello from Lancashire

Hi and welcome. Absolutely expect multiple crises to hit simultaneously. It seems to be the way of the world that 'perfect storm' events happen and are the most troublesome. As to civil unrest: I'm surprised we haven't had much, so far. Sort of expecting it as virus fatigue and financial stress kick...

Re: Hello from the Lake District

Hi! I just joined this forum which looks very interesting. Living in rural Cumbria I have learned from experience to be prepared for days being cut off or without mains electric or water; we get frequent flooding, landslips and occasional snow. But recent news broadcasts has made me worry about bei...

Re: My First Rocket Stove

Did you stand there hands on hips directing the hubby from just out of range of been clouted by flailing arms legs and flying spanners like Mrs Andy does? No. It was a proper team effort. Showed him the one on you-tube and I showed the assorted bits. We drew up and tweaked the plan and then I...

Re: How many times can you use a disposable FFP3 mask?

Is there any official advice? I've probably used mine for about an hour maximum each week since the lockdown started. I know I've read that under the present circumstances it's understandable if people use them a few times but wondering how much is too much? I've only used one of mine (ffp3) at an ...
