Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 4

I've been sorting out the garden and veg plots ready for this years growing attempts. Stocked up on seeds and planted some spuds. Not very exciting but necessary!

Re: Is there's a book about....

Hi Happyhacker, we saw it when it was on telly but i'm sure its probably on you tube now. Its about a small town in America called Jerico (Jericho?) and how the townsfolk all react after nukes airburst over north America. Their elecy goes off, the phones dont work, some motors stop working, planes c...

Re: Is there's a book about....

Hi Happyhacker, love the idea of the spare loft tanks for a bath! I agree with you that some books are easier to read than others or better written, but i think there are always little nuggets of information to be found about how people could react to catastrophes. Last Light by Alex Scarrow was a g...

Re: Telling the other half you're a prepper

I'm a female prepper and judging from the comments posted, there arent as many of us as there are blokes. I think its a pity that most blokes OH's cant see the benefits of being prepped. My other half is right on side and i feel very lucky that we can plan stuff together. Hes good at diy and very pr...

Re: Don't overestimate your wood pile

Thanks for the thread Britcit, it has made us sit up and take note. We had completely underestimated our woodstore. If we had to use the woodburner for cooking etc we'd have run out of wood in no time. We're going to build up a bigger wood stock now!

Re: How do you prep for this?

Hope you feel stronger soon Dusty Dog. I think Deeps and Sethorly are spot on. Its like the universe is giving you another perspective and saying " Go on, prepper. Get round this!" You have just been given a bag full of "time". You'd know exactly what to do if someone gave you a big bag of wood out ...
