Re: 10 year olds purse

Wow a brilliant response Thank you all. I knew that I could rely on you all. To answer the two questions from Badger and Arzosah I don't know how mature your niece (without that sounding like I'm being mean - I'm not!!) Unfortunately not very although quite intelligent book wise she has little to no...

10 year olds purse

Following on from our few days away, my 10 year old niece is now after a purse sized kit to carry around. Her parents think I'm mad so they have to see the logic of every item. So far I've put together: A couple of quid in change List of useful phone numbers A couple of plasters Pencil and paper Rub...

Re: What preps are you doing this week? Part 3.

Well it's been a mixed day today, we are having a short break in the lakes for the last couple of days the wife, 2 nieces and myself. I decided to attempt yet again to bring the wife round to our way of thinking. I bought a couple of tins of beans and sausages yesterday and while driving back to the...

Yep totally agree me and the missus were having beans on toast the other day, the beans went out of date in 2011, I kept that bit to myself.
It was well timed reminder to rotate stocks :).

Re: The last time you used your EDC?

I have one that contains minimal stuff that is used regularly, when I'm not far from my GHB which is in the car which has my multi tool etc in it. Last time I used something from there was today, tissues were today's item, Wednesdays was paracetamol for wife's headache, and on Tuesday it was a rubbe...

Re: Best/favorite EDC torch?

My EDC is the same as yours Forgecorvus but I took the pocket clips off, I also have a cheap one with the company logo on it on my house keys and a little cheap one the wife picked up while she was out and about on my car keys. What? No I haven't got a thing about torches...............................

Re: Ignorant Sheeple.

The really annoying thing is when it is family that behave like that. I know damn well that if the power was to go off for anything more than a couple of hours (for example). The O.H. would have me running around lending everyone in the family torches, or whatever may be needed. This is on top of he...

Re: Car kit

If you're princess is anything like mine Deeps the tin opener will be well handy, no point risking a nail  I went for MRE's along with a flameless ration heater, cos I knew it was worth the extra expense in saved earache.

Re: Lidl's LIVARNO LUX 3W Cree LED Torch

Found this on a DIY website
ip44 means it doesnt mind being splashed, but if you leave it outside and it rains it will not do it any good (prolonged splashing)
