Re: Trama Kit

Brilliant going, Woman of the Woods! Really good idea to have a pet First Aid kit. I’ve been looking at doing a cat first aid course in case my kitty gets injured. Done courses and refreshers with Red Cross and St. John’s Ambulance over the years, absolutely recommended.

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 9

Bought some compost and a big tub to plant on my rhubarb. I’m determined to get it growing properly. Bought some herbs too. A small start on my dream of a herbal medicine garden. Not a great gardener but at least my soapwort is still alive.

GeeGee and Lil, I’m so sorry to hear of your circumstances it’s nothing short of brutal and shocking. I agree with a herbal medicine/ nutrition approach to support the body’s healing, immune response and normal cell division. Each to their own. Keep strong.

Re: Some lessons from Covid

You never get rid of chickenpox, the virus goes dormant and “sleeps” on nerves. It can “awake” years later, maybe if you’re run down, so you don’t get it twice/three times, per see it’s the original infection that has re-activated.

Renewed daughter’s passport, topped up petrol, did loads of laundry so we have weeks of clean clothes and bedding. More cat food and meds. Charged batteries. More wine. Lots of first aid items. I’d recommend a first aid course to anybody, absolutely essential. I remember when a First Aider at the sc...

Re: How is everyone dealing with rising prices?

Clothes, some meat and fruit/veg from jumble sales and the big car boot sale across town. Halved my car insurance by switching to another insurance. If I’m cold I’ll run up and down the stairs. Washing is dried on the line or the airer. Packed lunch for OH and lots of home cooking. Keeping the car m...
