Re: National drug shortage

Good work, Jenny!

Thanks for the heads up Vitamin C my friend’s elderly parents are on those I’ll warn her to order early. Seem to have no problem getting my stash of thyroxine thank goodness.

Re: World rice shortages on way...

As climate change takes a good foothold, any country that becomes able to produce staple foods that were not able to before will battle with countries that are now less able to do so. Expect rice, wheat, tea and coffee to come from some pretty unusual places.

Re: DIY dentistry

Abscesses and dental infections can kill you because bacteria around the teeth have an affinity for heart tissue. If it gets into your bloodstream you can have heart failure from the infection regardless of age. The facial nerves on that side can be affected too.You definitely need antibiotics and t...

Re: Car headlights

I was driving my brother home on Sunday evening and realised one of my headlamps had gone completely and the other one wasn’t too great either. Fortunately he lives quite close by and there was no other traffic about so I completed the journey on (gulp) full beam. Dashed off to Halfords first thing ...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 10

Well done on the compost bin, Jenny! Feel better really soon, poorly preppers. Keep going and do what you can with what you have. I managed to hurt my back so work on the garden is at a standstill but I got the car fixed up. New spark plugs, then an oil change in the very near future. Keep my 15 yea...

Re: Long-term meat storage? Venison, rabbit, pheasant

Must admit I think I’d salt it, smoke it or just eat it freshly caught and cooked or go without for a while. A friend of mine used to breed rabbits in a big shed. Ate the meat and sold the pelts back in the day. Not a bad idea.
