Re: Liverpool Prepper

Hello Eddie, welcome to the forum. I'm the same as Green Man, originally from Liverpool, living down south now. Still got family north and south of Liverpool, though none in the city itself any more. You say you live in a rough area - I can think of a few round there, for sure. Your supplies sound l...

Re: No cost or low cost preps

I'm slightly obsessed by shoring up the local ecology - wildflowers, bug hotels etc. As preppers, conserving the environment on behalf of the insects that pollinate our crops, and purify the soil/ water, is a good idea even on practical terms. Did anybody else see Jimmy's Big Bee Rescue on Channel 4...

Re: Hi, new member from East Anglia.

Welcome, Blue!

I was at Gorleston t'other day (travelled there to see rellies from the other side of London) I do love Norfolk :)

I'm also pretty fond of my tech - I saw your separate thread about that, so I'll have a think. Hope you find the forum useful.

That makes sense ... I was ever so jealous of your 16kg for £3! I've been trying not to think about it, in fact

Re: Wide mouthed Stainless thermos..

Keep your eyes open in charity shops too - if they're letting people in, anyway. I got one for 50p, perfectly serviceable. I realise you probably want to get it sorted, but you could always have two at that price :)

Re: New member from Scunthorpe, UK!

Welcome, Jimmy! Hope you find lots here that's useful. I think you've hit the nail on the head when you mention fragile structures - there were a lot of dedicated boots-on-the-ground people keeping things ticking along this year, the structures were ... not good.

Lovely view absolutely, Lil. I'm glad you managed to get out while it's still the right season.

Still alive here! Recovered a bit, managed some sleep. Loving the broad, open aspect of your pix.

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 7.

I don’t know if it’s classed as a prep, but we have been ferrying new flat pack furniture in to rearrange living space now that daughter has moved back. When she left nearly 2 years ago, we redecorated etc the large bedroom that the girls shared, and the back bedroom we used as a walk in wardrobe b...
