Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 7.

Hi nurseandy - I greeted you on another thread, but can't have too many "welcome backs" to a nurse :) :) :) I'm waiting for my online shopping right now - my computer, and my garden hose and bark chippings/ manure/ compost. Soaked the second set of seeds - peas, beans, more kale. Of the first set, t...

Re: So,have your preps been useful?

Seems we're all of a mind, that this is the chance in the next few weeks to rebuild stocks, and take them further. I'm happy with the cash and contactless facilities I've got, going to keep an eye on that. Bleach - I managed to buy an ordinary bottle on Saturday, that felt good - and I have that box...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 7.

I'm doing little jobs that make things easier and tidier, partly to improve living standards at home, partly to clear the kitchen table so I can do proper craft work: I have an idea for a flyscreen over my large bowls, so I can soak porridge overnight - using an old plastic necklace as weights. Ove...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 7.

Preps next week: GOING BACK TO WORK!!! Gaffer rang me tonight and asked how I felt about getting back? The online delivery business has gone through the roof since the new website went live. They need a good knife man, and the boss admitted I am the fastest sausage maker he ever employed. That’ll b...

Re: Dried beans

Even green lentils don't really need to be soaked overnight, red lentils deffo not, in my experience - they do absorb water during the cooking process of course, they're dried, after all! But the red ones, not as much as you might think. I still haven't tried the pancakes, but I do like the sound of...

Re: 2020 Potential Economic Collapse

Also,it isnt that easy to turn the tap off on oil wells,as pumping pressure has to be maintained, especially the nearly played out Texan wells ,where they ( and the Saudis too) pump in water to get the last dregs. This will be an interesting one to watch. Ah, that makes sense of why they seem to be ...

Hi Tony, welcome back, hope you're coping at the moment, even with the cleaning supplies. Good to know what you need!
