Re: Poncho Tents And Pop-Up Tents

Well I get what the others are saying the “ if your roughing it you’re doing it wrong” signature that somebody has leaps to mind. But I disagree, with other stuff said in this chat. Sometimes life just moves to fast and I don’t foresee the need or potential emergency to crop up that requires me to h...

Re: UK running short of surgical and dust masks.

I went for the usual hep B protection top up (I need it for the line of work I’m in) last year in September to be told I couldn’t have it as there was a national shortage due to brexit. I was so upset  So it doesn’t surprise me that we are running out of basics tbh, with it be due to “brexit” ...

Basically this link was awesome as it showed you the recorded historical flooding sometimes going back 75-100 years as there is often...

Re: Bug Out Boat

To be fair to them, where we live we aren't on a flood plain. but mostly everywhere surrounding us was flooding. I was more using it for an an excuse to get a canoe and it did nae work. To determine risky areas to buy/build a house we used this link in college: http://map.sepa.org.uk/floodmap/...

Re: Bug Out Boat

If I spend a lot of money on a boat I want the one in Alaska that’s made out of a special plastic that can jump fallen trees and if it gets grounded you can just push it out yourself. I’ll see if I can look up the details... But I’ve tried to make the case for at least a canoe with all the flooding ...

Re: Difficult to make, useful, but currently very cheap

Disposable rubber gloves. A couple of quid for a box of 100, they could be a lifesaver in the unlikely event of a new illness appearing. Also re-usable rubber gloves. They can be sterilised and re-used till you wear through them. I bought some from Tescos recently £1.25 a pair they were half price....
