Re: Tin opener

When I was little I regularly used to “run away” I was only like 4 and they used to watch me out the window, I’d Pack up the push chair with tins from the kitchen cupboards and then leave. They’d watch me from the window, but never ever did I once take a damn tin opener so after I died of dehydratio...

Re: Fellow forward thinkers

It’s a shame really, but I need to make sure I put on my own oxygen mask before I can help others. I keep forgetting that part haha.

Re: Handy new BOV? (Fits in a rucksack!)

That's quite cool, I wonder if it could work like a sledge too...

So then you could have a land, calm water and snow get around vehicle....potentially?

Re: Air conditioning

Yeah it was a bit ridiculous price. :o Problem with where I live is the poor insulation, which means its freezing in the winter and warm in the summer, but its affordable for me and my pets so I make do. :D If you put small bowls of water in the tray and gradually add more then the freezer should co...

Re: Food dehydrator

I see your point about being in the UK but I still want to try a solar oven, besides the power of reflecting the sunlight into the box could be more powerful than we think. I have a old lectern which I could convert. It was going to the skip but I could try refurbishing it, perhaps it would on...

Re: Food dehydrator

I thought a solar oven could also dehydrate food? :tinfoil

Re: Fellow forward thinkers

Hey Richard, Do it. I don’t think you will regret it. Ours was an incredibly fun group, you also developed a morbid sense of humour. Scenario practice gets your mind re-wired. I used to panic at the sight of blood. Because I was worried for the other person, that they would get infected or worse ble...

Re: Air conditioning

OMG THIS LOOKS AMAZING!!! :!: I was incredibly sick this year when we had the heatwave, I got heat exhaustion before it got really bad which then evolved into heat stroke a few people were genuinely concerned I almost died at one point. One of them thinks they saved me by looking after me, I ...

Re: Bio diesel

I feel that for everyday use this is good! Price of diesel here is around £1.30!!!!

Only thing is the bit of research i have done on them seems to require fairly “clean” oil, whereas i would want to be using the used stuff from restaurants, etc which partially defeats the purpose for me. :S

Re: Coal briquettes

Perhaps a stupid question here but is it healthy to burn cement? Aren’t the particles bad for our lungs? :?:

I love the idea in principle though, I am looking at trying to make some briquettes :) which will probably end in some sort of disaster now if me.
