Re: Wilko Collapse

Re the disability assessors, I have a former colleague/friend who went to work for one of the American companies, running the assessor contracts. It was good money with bonus (for guess what ?) But she went back to nursing in the end because it was depressing. The genuine cases were easy to refuse,...

Re: Power bank preps

I almost exclusively use Anker products. My latest power bank purchase was the Anker 337 Power Bank (PowerCore 26K) which charges mobile phones x 6 times or a tablet x 2 times. Usually retails at £56.99 but it's on offer again at the moment for £39.99 so I'm probably going to get another. ...

Re: Deffence

OK I will take that under advisement. I joined this group for active conversations, so maybe it's not right for me here. Nobody has said you can't have an active conversation. We usually advise new members to read around the boards - it helps you to familiarise yourself with the feel of the communi...

Re: Deffence

You can absolutely start new conversations, Plymtom is just handing out a bit of advice for you - this topic has been discussed around the boards, so you might want to have a mooch about and see what's...

Plans for today: a spreadsheet for cars in my price range on Autotrader. I've been rabbiting about that for weeks - time to finally do it, its the biggest prep I could actually do. I've started collecting safety supplies I already own, from around the house, I have a surprising number, very pleased...

Re: General finance planning

I just got a pay rise, so I'll be upping the amount that I'm putting into my ISA / SIPP each month. My work pension contributions from me/employer will increase automatically too. So, two days after the pay rise confirmation, we were notified that a large US organisation has launched a takeover bid...
