so first draft is split into items that are one per kit and then one per person. I've included costs, with anything that doesn't end .00 is an actual price from tesco or home bargains. Made up a blackout box a few weeks ago for a relative with a powerbank, charger cables, LED lantern, windup radio/torch, headlamp, batteries and a small camping kettle for the stove. Not perfect, but a lot better than nothing.

If small domestic turbines are much worse value than domestic solar, then why would the same not be true for massive installations. Is grating the potatoes with a coarse grater to get flakes then blanching that worth trying? You'd have a lot of surface area and because they'd be so thin they'd be quick to blanch. Sorry if this just prattle, the great potato saga is currently my favourite thing to read on this site lol.
