Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 7.

I did a definitely final Aldi shop yesterday. Glad I did, they've got bread flour in again. I'll be going to Tesco later this evening and stocking up for me and Mum and then dropping her shopping off. My friend in Scotland has just texted me to say she and her Mum are in Morrisons and there was a qu...

Thanks. She is having breast reconstruction. Normally, she would be in for a couple of days. Providing there’s no complications, it’s same-day! When she leaves, any infections, pain or complications will have to be dealt with by the GP. Anyone whose has dealt with their GP in the last six months kn...

I know the feeling. I've started weaponising my trolley. If I have someone behind me who wont keep back I stand in front of the trolley so they have to keep back.
I like your thinking!

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 7.

I don’t know if it’s classed as a prep, but we have been ferrying new flat pack furniture in to rearrange living space now that daughter has moved back. When she left nearly 2 years ago, we redecorated etc the large bedroom that the girls shared, and the back bedroom we used as a walk in wardrobe b...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 7.

Just done a massive (for me) Aldi shop. I'd gone in with the idea that it might be the last I do for a while, only to have that feeling confirmed by the family behind me who had no concept of social distancing. I had to tell the kids that I needed much more space than they were giving me with the be...

it's not a well known brand like Singer, so I'm not confident that it could be fixed which is a shame.
I tell a lie. I just did some googling and it's a Bradbury which is one of the earliest British sewing machine companies!

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 7.

Mouse/GillyBee: That makes me think of The Repair Shop on TV - so often, cleaning a very old piece is almost all that's needed. Best of luck - I'll be going this route over winter. Worked perfectly - the sewing machine equivalent of switching it off and on again! I now have 4 masks almost fin...
