Ah. When I googled volcano stove, I got something that looked like a much higher powered (and scary!) version of the spirit burner in a trangia. Now I know

If you're using a Trangia indoors with the door open, make sure there's nothing flammable for at least a couple of feet around. Because the flame can blow sideways in a draught. I think they burn a bit stronger once they get going properly.
