Re: B12 injections

I have to say things re the GPs up here have been fine. No shortages no problems at all. But the dentists closed sharpish which I think is awful. I've got Addisons Disease and need daily steroids for life, if I miss them for 2 weeks then I'm dead. Also need an emergency injection in case I go into a...

Re: Potential UK power failure

I'd second the sneaky approach. Coal fire for heating & hot water and solar power for as much as you can get out of it.

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 7.

I don't need to get the WM now, the money will be there if and when I need it. But for us now it's mainly a question of energy  We haven't got any! So I get one chance to do this room and one only.. I don't want to get halfway through then think o gawd I should've done something else. Ikea site...

It's a Hotpoint Aqualtis but it's not in the recall list
I do think I'll leave the machine until later and fix up the room and food preps first.

Re: B12 injections

I think I would, and also email your MP. It's a deadly disease and going short will knock you back for months.
Up here in Scotland there seems to be mostly no change that I can see.

Think the husband wants to get the WM now. It's working fine but has a noisy bearing. I'm just swithering.. will keep thinking, ty PP.
I thinkw hatever I decide, I'll get one of those big Ikea Kallax storage units. Handy and don't take up much space.

Re: B12 injections

No dizzydays, you need your injections and if you push your doctor's surgery and be firm, you should still get it. Offer to take away the vial and syringe and get a friend to inject you or inject yourself - there are videos on youtube. You need that B12.

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 7.

Well. I'm pondering. I do do a good ponder. Our back bedroom is north facing, big window, 14ft x 15ft with a high ceiling. It needs done up as it's turned into a dumping place for odds and ends and that's bugging me. Sooo - do I turn it into a pantry/store room type of thing and buy Ikea s...

Re: B12 injections

If you have Pernicious Anaemia then the B12 jab can only be postsponed for a month at most. Up here my hubby is still getting his every 4 weeks as normal. Only those with B12 deficiency but not PA are being affected.
