Hi Jenny, for the foundation course have a look at hamtrain, https://www.essexham.co.uk/train/ , I recently got my foundation license by doing their free on-line course.

The only expenses are; the foundation license manual £6, and the on-line exam through the RSGB £27.50.

Re: Signal flares

light fuse and place plastic bag full of something over charge for a bigger bang. I would strongly discourage anyone from doing this unless you've recieved training in the use of pyrotechnics. While serving in the RAF I saw a demonstration as to why this is a bad idea, a Sargeant set off a thunderf...

Re: Storing pasta

I just leave it in the original packaging, I've never had dried pasta go 'off' even when it's a number of years past it's best before date. I've currently got an opened packet off spaghetti in my cupboard thats 2 years beyond it's BBE date and hasn't been touched for the better part of a year but is...

If you have the cash and I agree not cheap a pulse oximeter which gives a measure of the bloods saturation with oxygen. These can be had for less than a tenner https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-Fingertip-Pulse-Oximeter-Blood-Oxygen-Saturation-SpO2-Meter-Finger-Oxymeter/353139012818?hash=item5238b9b4d2:...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 7.

Well I finally got around to setting up my nice new Berkley water filter, unfortunately I should have read the instructions before I started and I would have found out that I needed some food colouring to check that everything is working, I thought I had some in the cupboard but I can't find it so I...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 7.

I don't know what they're called - but its like a tube and you pull it over your head then either leave it round yr neck or pull it right up to cover your nose. They are tight and don't fall down. I ...
