Re: Student journalist looking to speak to some of you

itsybitsy... fair point, and I hear what you saying, but this thread should never really exist in the first place. From the very first post of the home page and Rules.... UK Preppers has a zero tolerance policy with respect to any unsolicited journalists and reporters. Any action to gather, or obtai...

Re: Student journalist looking to speak to some of you

student journalist........anyones.......can't use apostrophe........*head explodes* Hmmm - that's a bit mean. He is a student after all. Besides, the dropped "and", the user of "Anyways" and the liberal use of street talk ("up for") are far more serious. Hint to the st...

Re: Whats the Best UK Prepping Blogs?

Hey there nice to digitally meet you both! I'm concerned about financial collapse and would like to be more prepared for that eventuality but if I'm honest I do more watching and reading then actually prepping at the moment. Same here.... suggest you first port of call is this thread, and then read...

Re: Whats the Best UK Prepping Blogs?

My fav used to be the Thoughtful prepper, but a week or so ago, he seemed to have locked his blog for some reason. I link here in case he did it by mistake and it comes back... https://thoughtfullyprepping.wordpress.com/ This one has a lot of useful reviews of 'kit' - but I find the banner a little ...

Re: Big or small?

Fair enough. Wasn't a criticism by the way just not an ideal way of storing them No, that's understood. When I got all my kit together, I was looking to shave space and weight. The drugs in the packets was too heavy and took up too much space - so I went with this option, reduced weight by 40% and ...

Re: Big or small?

God - I did a mental inventory and I think I win the prize for most kits. I have.... 1 x Tiny set which I carry around in my day to day work briefcase/laptop bag (plasters, headache tablets, Imodium and one wrap bandage) 2 x Car FAKs that came with the cars (BMW and Audi) - topped up with plasters, ...

Re: Eating out of date food.

My wife (who works in the commercial food delivery service) is a firm believer that dates can generally be ignored, and food can be eaten as long it smells/looks ok. Me on the other hand - I am a great believer that film and TV quotes tell you all the rules you need for eating out of date food... &q...

Re: Dehydrator recommendation.

Thanks all. In the end, as my local shop is Sainsburys, went with the same stuff that Jamesey1981 recommended - 2nd batch are on and drying now.
Fingers crossed.
