Re: Helping the neighbours - in what situations....?

While we're on the subject of bunnies, just remember that only eating the little blighters will eventually kill you. They're rich in protein but poor in oils and nutrients, so really adding credence to the saying "that too much of anything is bad for you," :D

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 4

Went to our local Rifle and Pistol shooting club/range last night for the first time. Had a great time and got a warm welcome. My mrs loved it and had a whale of a time so thats a new interest that we can share. A big step forward on the prep front too. I owe a big thanks to a few of this forums me...

Re: Bug out bag

One thing I forgot to add before is to try and avoid premade kits. They're good if you're new and not sure what you need and can therefore be a good start, but you will pay a premium for them; it works out a lot cheaper to buy the items individually and assembly your own kit, you also get the choic...

Re: Slingbag/Gearslinger

Hi here,

I've been trying to imagine what sort of bag you mean but I've been struggling. Perhaps it might help if you post some images for people to view? Cheers.

Re: TOPS Tom Brown Tracker knife

Stick to your regular knife and look at something like the Fiskars Brush Hook - with its hollow handle theres a place for a folding saw to be packed. Short of carrying a real, regular handaxe its a good bet... At reasonable sensible money with no gimmicks... ...my opinion at least. If I've already ...

Re: TOPS Tom Brown Tracker knife

Sorry that link doesn't seem to work. Anyhow, check out YouTube for the destruction tests! I've already had a look and I think I'm pretty much sold. I do want to buy it but I've already spent a lot of money this month - it is hard not to get too carried away. Think I should be sensible and put it o...

It does say this is the Bowie version of the knife as the traditional one is no longer stocked. Not that I mind for that price though :D

Re: TOPS Tom Brown Tracker knife

For indestructible knife try the Coldsteel Bushman. Look it up on YouTube. It has a hollow handle, but is made out of one piece of steel.I found a plastic cap to fit over the end,and put a mini kit in the handle. There is a pouch on the sheath which will take an Altoid tin ( or whatever). It holds an e...
