Anyone know anything about Sandvik axes? any good? this much I know.... the handles are completely wrong grain orientation .... proberbly why they painted the lower half black to hide this?

I did take a photo of each boot side by side as a comparison, they weigh about the same, but the build quality of the German boots is second to none, there is also a UK company that can resole them for £25, not that I'm expecting them to wear out any time soon.
