Re: Hello - London light-weight prepper

Getting cross the river does worry me but I have a safe location in North London edge of zone 3 where my family would know to collect me and a safe person who my family could contact. So I've thought of somewhere to go if I can't get safely across the river. I live in putney on a very residential st...

Re: I thought I was prepping

Message for the OP. I do things in waves - I think it's natural. Besides, you have to live your life. You can't spend every waking moment prepping - it may never happen afterall. ....... and spending time with your family, work, friends, and getting on with real life - gives us the motivation to pre...

Sorry quick question - what does it mean when people have 'Area' and then a number in their signature and things?

I keep seeing things like Area 2, or Area 12 and Area coordinator and I don't know what it means

Re: Hello - London light-weight prepper

Riots don’t really worry me. I lived in London during the 2011 riots. Honestly you wouldn’t even have known it was happening if it weren’t for the news. People were still getting the tube, going to work, coming home, going to restaurants and living their lives. The media had the rest of the country ...

I work in WC2 :P My other half and I have got a meet up plan to get home with a few different scenarios, such as if I couldn't get across the river. I'm first aid trained and have a portab...

Re: Hello - London light-weight prepper

Thanks :P I think it's being in London that makes me think more about this. I'm from the North. My parents both have proper skills. They know how to grow vegetables, make jams, and make a dinner out of thin air, ie when all I see is empty cupboards.... They were both born right at the end of the 2nd...

Hello - London light-weight prepper

Hi Everyone, Quick intro - I'm a female, living in rented accommodation in London, Zone 3. I work in central London. Yup, I'm in just about the worse possible position for being prepared if a disaster of any kind struck. My biggest concerns are: power failures, terrorist attacks, extreme weather - e...
