I tried picking for a bit and was good fun and yeah like you used a basic set, really easy once you have a cutaway lock.
Any experience with pick guns or bump keys?

Have you tried any of the stuff you bought? I'm courious because a mate of mine had a corner shop (good while ago to be fair) and the HS brand stuff he sold was pretty bad mostly. Well went to a few supermarkets and poundshops yesterday to see to make my own foodbucket.
