Re: Prepping with a baby

Wipes, wpies, and wipes. They're good for adults and wonders for little ones. We have an 18 month old. Part of our preps include spare nappies in each vehicle and dried fruits and crackers that he likes. We also have a spare pacifier to help sooth him when we go for a drive. It makes sleeping during...

Re: Fishing

If you don't have anyone to fish with the easiest way to learn are by watching some youtube videos aND then practicing. If you meet another fisherman while at a river you'll likely strike up a conversation and they will more often than not share what they know. More often you'll have a hard time shu...

Re: Ignorant Sheeple.

My family comes from farming common ties during the great depression. My grandparents grew up in the depression, my parents learned to be prepared for adversity, and they've instilled that in me. My family is well prepared. I'm more worried about what would happen if the unprepared would try to take...

Small things that make life easier

This is to keep the discussion going about small items that we use but don't always consider. I'm not thinking of big things like your BOB or vehicle but the little things. For me zip lock bags in the 1 gallon size alays seem to be missing when I need them. I'm shopping this evening and will get som...

Re: Module #4 - Mini Get Home Bag/Go Bag

Has anyone got a Beefy? Is it big enough for all this stuff do you think? I think the knife will go into the zipped compartment on an angle, corner to corner. The knife in sheeth is about 23cm, the pouch is about 20 I think. But the main thing I'm not sure will fit is the emergency bivvy, and yet i...

Re: Lucky me

Please forgive my ignorance. What is the allotment system you're talking about? There are community gardens locally that we could potentially become members of or we would need to buy our own land.

Re: Winter Car preps

An extra wool blanket is always good. You can use it for ground cover if you're replacing a tyre or if it's cold and you have to wait out a gridlock jam.

Re: What preps are you doing this week? part 2.

I've just ordered a micro gas stove which I'm hoping will fit inside my mess tins, although I have a sneaky feeling the smallest gas bottle is a bit taller that the tin. Still it's a heck of a lot smaller than the camping gas stoves I have now. Have you looked at the penny stoves? They use rubbing ...

Re: non locking knives, a rant!

Many UK laws baffle me. I'm in a 1/2 office 1/2 factory work environment and a folding knife is common in many pockets as is a multitool on the belt.

What is the limit for a locking blade folder?
