Re: small bag
Also try a google search for "maxpedition cross bag" and see if they look like what you are after.

Re: Close combat self defense
Personally, I'd follow the "nuke the site from orbit, it's the only way to be sure..." line of thinking.
I have orbital nukes on my list of desired preps (doesn't everyone?)

Re: Under estimating over the counter medication
Thanks for the timely reminder! I've just ordered another batch of medications from ebay. You can buy packs of 6 boxes with free delivery which saves picking a couple up each time at different shops.

I'm looking at winter preps at the moment. I want to put a couple of 2kW convector heaters away and get some wool blankets.

Re: Spare/emergency cash carrier
I have one of these on my keys with a £20 in it and another clipped to the inside of my Maxpedition EDC pouch. Although I've never had cause to use either of them, it never hurts to have some emergency cash!

Welcome to the forum peejay. I'm also looking into some basic solar systems at the moment. If only to charge up batteries for torches, lanterns, radios etc to start with. I have a couple of the portable 'backpack' type folding panels but am thinking about a larger and permament shed roof installatio...

Re: Best Leatherman
I carry a Leatherman Juice XE6 in a leather pouch on my belt. The knife, pliers, scissors and corkscrew get the most use. I own a few multi-tools including SAK, Leatherman and RS own-brand but I find the XE6 the best combo for on-person carry as it has a good range of features without being too heav...
