No real issues in the convincing dept. I really have a good woman behind me ( cracking the whip and pushing me along...

Re: Foundation course

Just got my course dates Wingfoot, the first two weekends in November, that give me plenty of time to read the Foundation now Book and do the Essex Ham course on line. As Hamradioop has mentioned it probably is easy, but there is no harm reading up prior to the event. Thanks for your feedback Harlo...

Re: Aldi Axe

No axes in our local Aldi, but they do have the 2 tonne puller/winch device for £9.99. I got one last year, havent used it yet but can see a multitude of uses for it. http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/2-ton-heavy-duty-power-puller-12-99-instore-aldi-from-next-thursday-21st-march-1500706 Link https://...

Re: Baofeng UV-5R

Thanks for your advice M. Have you had any planning issues with the council regarding the height? Phil No issues. The 10m vertical antenna behind it is even higher and the OCF windom is even higher than that. I suppose if you dont upset the status quo, no one will object. Do you know and get on wit...
