Re: Being hounded to get a smart meter

I am being hounded by EDF to get a smart meter fitted. Phone calls, texts and emails. I do not want one. How long before energy suppliers start penalising us for not having one? Perhaps when there are alternatives to the variable rate tariff again? Sorry for the late post, but if you have an EDF on...

Re: Van Life

It may also be worth looking into live in guardians. I had a cousin who did it years ago. She lived in a office building and watched over the building for cheap rent. But she motioned that there was more demand for people in camper vans to park up in the grounds as the owners did not have to create ...

Re: Potential drought coming to UK

That’s certainly not in Scotland! The new tourist slogan is… Visit Scotland. It rains all the time! Living somewhere where it rains a lot may not be of much help. Re: Wind and Hydro Generators

I came across a co -op that is doing community owned turbines today, their recent funding drive was for 32.5 million for a farm for 8 turbines and they say that they expect the average investor of approx £1700 would expect it to be paid back in 14 years at normal price but 5 if things stay high. So ...

I'm on gas so haven't paid much to much but I thought the one of payment was because they don't benefit from the gas price cap. :?:

Re: Boiling water to make it safe is overkill

Thanks for this Andy. I did not realise how important it was to let the water cool before adding the chlorine.
