Re: any of you on prescribed meds?
Im on a relatively low carb diet already, cos carbs give me stomach problems. I have to be careful what i eat, i only eat things like brown rice, pasta and bread, i have to eat slow releasing carbs. I have loads of research on the Ketogenic diet relating to epilepsy, goes with the territory; one sm...

Re: Potato skin or peel
Best thing to do with potato peelings, if you must peel them, is to deep fry the skins. Kids and wife fight over this treat, sea salt and fresh ground pepper, a real treat You're not doing us Jocks any favours in the stereotyping here Mongrel. With mayonnaise......yum, must get him to make th...

Re: Ask Dr Apocalypse
Wow thanks! I was only on the site for a bit of a skive while I had a cup of tea. I didn't expect to cover some of my Med Science exam (Monday) while I was here. :D I'm interested in something you said regarding medication: Please correct me if I'm wrong but you advised that if you had a chronic con...

Re: Post Antibiotic era
Just got the news through that I got my transfer to pharmacology. I saw this on the BBC but to be honest we've got exams just now so I ducked posting for revising. If I find out anything useful, I'll post or upload anything I come across if it hasn't been covered. Though from the posts that are comi...

Audible: 'Medical School for Everyone: Emergency Medicine'
Hi I was looking out for what to buy with my audible credit this month and came across this title on audible 'Medical School for Everyone: Emergency Medicine.
The sample sounded not too bad.
Its by the Great Courses and narrated by Professor Roy Benaroch. Almost 12hrs worth.

Student food Totally cant be bothered to spend ages on a meal and the assignment that I have produce, that is presented in such a biased way (two 'hint' references towards the pro side, one is general.) has to be done. Chopped up quorn sausages, maggi noodles (curry flavour), mushroom stock cube and...

Re: Medical School
Only thing I would say about Dangerman's comment about the books from torrent sites, we have one guy in our Logic class downloaded his book. The lecturer is always referring to page numbers and his downloaded book and the lecturers numbers don't tally. It was OK when we were a few pages into the boo...

Lyonic, I totally agree with Deeps; speaking as another 'poor student' who has no intention if following a plan such as yours, but has no wish to be tarred with the the same brush due to academic status. To re-iterate what other members have said, you have confused prepping with something more heino...
