tarp size
Me again.
Looking for a tarp to be used for shelter purposes. Do you guys have a rule of thumb for a size.
I have came across 7x7 , 7x10, 7x13.
Don't want one that will be too big

Hello all........ First of all, apologies for the near 5 months absence. Issues sorted and glad to be back. Now to the nitty gritty. I have come across rope in b&ms. Looks like the type used for climbing and is only a few quid. Anybody came across this. If so, is it good quality? Is there a way ...

B.O.B
Hi guy/girls.
BOB is coming along nicely. Was wondering though, should i be waterproofing my gear by putting it in bags or in the snap lock boxes you get for keeping food in.
Bags will take up less space but the boxes will be air tight.
Any recommendations
Thanks in advance

Back in my cadet days, we used a silva compass for map/compass work.
Is there another model of compass that is better than this.
Should i just stick to what i know

Re: bug out location
Cheers guys.
Have a few possible locations earmarked.
Will do a few dry runs to see which is the most suitable.
Will obviously pick the most secure location with the most access.
Thanks again

bug out location
Hello people.
Is there a rule of thumb as too how far away your bug out location should be.
How many routes to and from should you ideally have.
Thanks in advance

Good old map and compass
Haven't done this for a while(used a map and compass that is) and was wondering if anybody knew of any books/manuals they would recommend to help dust off the cobwebs.
Thanks in advance
