Re: do you include neighbors?

Sort of. They have no idea what my family and I get do re prepping, but I give thought to how the neighbours/community can be mobilized if the event ever happens to the betterment of the street. Something of an old school clan mentality perhaps!

Re: The Hot Zone-Richard Preston

Just re-read during a lovely caravan holiday in the highlands. Almost made me want to pull up the drawbridge and hole up there! In fact it was so lovely, it almost made me want to do that anyway.

Re: TEOTWAWKI / Survival Movies

Just started watching Revolution on Netflix, they only have Series 1 at the moment, and that's on the US version so you'll need to make your computer pretend you're over there to watch it. It's about life after electricity going off and never coming back on again. Only watched one so far but it's a...

Re: What's your all-time most fav book?

This is one of those things that changes when you read another cracking book! I think I would say though: Robinson Crusoe- Daniel Dafoe and Watchers by Dean Koontz. I still re read the Stand by S King ever few years or so when the urge takes. As well as the the Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.

Yeah! It was many years ago when I first read it, and I still remember parts of it in very vivid detail! Powerful subject matter well written.

As far as 'things' lying around go, I have a few kubotans around the house, should I need one in a hurry say to smash the double glazing for example.

Re: On display or hidden away?

Remember the local Joiner having his van broken into the scrotes then used his tools to go and force entry to several homes garages and sheds in the village  Problem is where do you stop? do you bolt the kettle to the stove top should someone get in whilst your brewing up and scald you..
