Well the tester confirmed my thoughts that it was fubar.. Those who are aware of their car has a good understanding of how it sounds / feels at cranking it's always good for diagnosis... Sisters car had starting issues... Battery tested fine . Using the old school 100a load drop tester soon pointed ...

I'm a sparky by trade and pretty good hands on with other stuff. Good start you'll be well versed with "van toilets" plasters bucket and some pipe lagging :lol: Suppose a decent changeover switch and a generator input won't be a issue ;) You've probably noticed we don't care much for zombie invasio...

Izzy_mack, you had a power cut, we had no water for half an hour. Ok so half an hour is nothing, however I had no idea how long we would be w/o water coming from the mains so I opened a 2 litre bottle from the stores. 1 Litre went in the kettle for 2 cuppas and some hot water to wash a few bits up ...

Remember working in a cold store and blast chiller. Walking out for a rewarming break... It was snowing outside but it felt warm ..... Really messes with your head :?

Lessons from camping in cold weather. 1) Cuddling someone helps a LOT with warming up. The old "shared bodily warmth" thing. And you don't need to strip right off to feel the benefit although staying out of the wind and getting as sheltered as you can with a sleeping bag or blankets around both of ...

I follow a couple of self-build camper groups on Facebook and there is a lot of talk of "Chinese Diesel Heaters" Would one of them do the needful ? I've been oggling them for a bit but can't justify it . Only snag with those is you need a decent 12v leisure battery and a way to charge said battery....

Does anyone know of an alternative heirloom seed company in the UK than Real Seeds.
