Re: Value Range foods compared

Just been to tesco and the 5kg sugar has gone up from £3.75 a couple of weeks ago to £5 today. Needless to say I didn't buy any. It was just £3.25 a few months ago

Re: Where do you store your food?

All over the place. I have a tiny kitchenette off a bigger dining room. Keep all using food plus some stores in kitchenette. A cupboard under the stairs has a mountain of toilet rolls at the back and plastic boxes with food at the front. The bathroom has a full height cupboard which has towels, usin...

Why so many planes

Just wondered if anyone knows why there are so many jets, fighters, helicopters and the like flying about just now. Have noticed loads more than usual the last few days, both in frequency of flights and in the number of planes in each fly past. One large plane ( don't know what it was but it was hug...

Re: What type of person becomes a prepper

When folk ask me about anything prepping related, I always say that I am a ‘what if’ person as preppers gives the illusion that I’m off to live in a cave somewhere. Quite a few folk have asked questions after Covid and the Ukrainian war. Not as in ‘What should I do if Vlad nukes us?’, it’s more ‘wh...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 10

Been spring cleaning and decluttering big time. thrown out (mostly to charity shop) pictures, ornaments etc and loads of books. Trying to simplify my life for various reasons. One bonus is that I now have storage space in the house for virtually all my food supplies which makes rotation and keeping ...

Re: Sort of off Grid Living in Russia,

There's plenty of empty land in the highlands and I'm sure someone would bug out to here to live off grid. mind you its pretty boggy and then there's the midges that will eat you alive or drive you insane. or both. Water is not a problem or least there is plenty of it, just keeping it out of your te...

Re: Is ,or has, anyone used their preps in a full- on way?

Have used my preps on several occasions, when hiccups have happened in my finances or ill health or just life throwing you a wobbly. I've always been very glad they were there. Never had to go full blown prepping - yet. I do use the contents of my freezer ( big chest) from time to time so that I use...

Re: Hi - another noob joining from the East Mids

I don't do the hugs and kisses stuff either but welcome anyway  . I am of the older. read knackered, age group too and have Rhumatoid arthritis which limits my stamina, energy and ability to walk far or carry much. I live in the back of beyond and frequently go long periods of silence in my wor...
