welcome to the forum, yes this is a friendly sort of place, most of the time. The usual advice given to a beginner doesn't quite apply at the moment. So, that ended well. Cut the holiday short by 2 weeks and cost us £300 to get the last two seats on the last scheduled flight back home (the alternative being to try and get on a rescue flight "some time" Welcome home sorry you're plans got scrapped but at least you're on familiar ground now. Dug out a shrub that no longer flowered and planted a gooseberry bush in its place. slowly turning a shrubbery into a fruit garden/orchard.
