Re: Brexit in October?

Just get on with it! If this was a divorce between a couple, Europe being Mr. and we're Mrs I would be saying, you're doing the right thing, look how he's behaving, his attitude tells me this divorce is right. Sure you'll be worse off for a while and things will be tougher - have you ever known a di...

Re: Brexit in October?

I am continuing to prep as before, but with a little more oomph! We would mostly be ok, but our kids who may not have the financial ability to stock up may not be. My son has his own business which could be affected, my eldest daughter has two children and my preps are also focused on helping them ...

Re: Im new & I cant think of anything to say but Hello

Welcome to the forum. As you've probably sussed most here are not prepping so much for the apocalypse as for personal financial hiccups, sudden unemployment or illness. Throw in Brexit and it really dosen't matter what is your main reason, the preps will work for all the above. I've been grateful to...

Re: "wildfire risk" extremely high..

Here in the Highlands wildfires happen every year so we have to be thoughtful about it. I have a pile of garden waste needing burnt, mostly shrub trimming from over the winter, did try to burn it earlier but it was too wet. Thought about it a few days ago when it had been dry but decided it was too ...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 6.

STocking up on flea and tick stuff, for dogs and humans. Ticks are everywhere this year, have removed about 12 from ME :o over the last week. Everytime I go into the garden I get at least one. Apparently it's because of the mild dry winter.

Re: actually that could be useful.

'm considering one of these I've got a similiar one, my little red wagon, it's very useful too. Agree about the buckets, after carting water for months I'm very grateful to them. The kind with lids are great, I have several square ones which I use for storing sugar, pasta, rice etc. they stack and ke...

actually that could be useful.

I bought a new wheelbarrow because my old one is still going but getting dodgy and one load too heavy may well see it out, so i'm ready for that day. It occurred to me that in a shtf situation a wheelbarrow would be useful. If you had to carry water or firewood from a distance it would mean you coul...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 6.

I'm back after a few months break when I could only occasionally dip in to the forum, oh how I missed it. After spending 9months in a caravan with no water or electric we've moved to a cottage a few months ago. Water comes out of taps :o hot as well as cold! bliss :) Lights come on at the flick of a...
