Re: Powdered egg ?

No-Egg is good. It’s actually plant based, so good with folks who can’t/won’t eat egg. I’ve made pancakes and things with it. Always have a box of it in my pantry.

Re: N.H.S. views and experiences

Last October I broke my wrist. Seen quickly in A and E, X -rayed and splinted pretty quickly. I was referred to a Bone Health team as I’m over 50 and had a bone density scan and physiotherapy to do at home and two appointments with the hand therapist. I’m so grateful they are there and I don’t have ...

Re: Car v public transport

Fractured my wrist in October so no driving for a while. Bus service isn’t bad you can get to most places eventually if you’ve got all day. They are every half an hour now so anywhere on the other side of town takes two buses one to get to town and the next to go to work/ visiting etc. A journey tha...

Need to retrieve rescue gear from shed. I bought a small fire extinguisher, life hammer and hazard triangle set for m...

Re: Look at the size of my marrow

Well done folks! Haven’t had that much luck this year. Foraged a bit. Got a few herbs and a tomato plant growing on the window sill. Definitely more work required next year.

Re: Medicine use by dates...

While some meds will keep for ages under the right conditions, others, like aspirin will degrade into other things because they’re slightly unstable and will not be the meds you started with. At best they’ll be harmless/useless, at worst a pretty different thing altogether.Chuck out anything 6 month...

Re: Eternal youth....

Ageing is a complex mixture of both accumulation of damage over a lifetime and programmed cell behaviour. I think we’ve got a looong way to go before any kind of age reversing treatment for humans as most studies are done on nematode worms, mice and suchlike. Drink plenty of fluids, healthy diet and...
