whats wrong with taking out your boots, the map, a sarnie and walking routes you know, but stopping to pinpoint yourself on the map given the info available ?

been working on my fitness.. lots of hiking. Exploring the local area, practicing my map reading and generally enjoying being outside :)

this weekend I got the first lot of my camping gear! after a bit of a world tour I gave all mine away ~6 years ago. Me and the missus have decided we are gonna do some more walking/hiking and want to weave in some camping :)

I now have a cupboard for my preps :) The missus agreed to let me use the old boiler cupboard in our kitchen if i sorted it out.. its now shelved and has our excess supply of beans and water in it.

Canal Boat

Has anyone ever thought of giving the living in a boat thing a go and tried the canal boat ? Seems like it would be a decent way of saving some cash and having a nice mobile life... was just wondering if you could make a go at the sustainable living thing with one...

The upcoming generations are losing touch with nature rapidly.
