Re: Using your kit

Very good post. I only have basic first aid knowledge dating from 1 year back, some camping knowledge although not bush craft level, so don't feel well prepared as far as skills go. Serious point here that skills are as important, if not more so, than setting up stores, etc. I can see I have a long ...

My terrier does a good job, only now she thinks she has to protect me from everyone....

Now have a good light on the back, hope everyone else is keeping their security up, I think we will need it...

That looks great, thank you - something I will show to OH in the hope he can make one for the garage.

Re: impatience

Thank you, Tactical Prepper and Prepping Pingu. I have given in to the urge and bought more stuff, but, as it will be useful for camping I don't feel guilty about it. Checking my stores I realise buying tins of 4 or 6 means they all need eating around the same time; so, I am already pulling back on ...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week

De-cluttering. Having a spring clean throughout the house, prepping wise means we have our stores organised, date checked, with oldest stuff ready to eat first. Now I can see where stores need replenishing properly, and the plus point is it's made more space for things we would actually need to eat ...

Free handy storage tip

Hello I've been checking over stores, and had an idea I'd like to share, which does work for small amounts of tinned food: Take a pair of old, preferably thick, winter tights that would be thrown away. Cut in half leaving two legs, don't cut off the bit up to the waist. Put your tins in, single file...

Hello all

Wilkins*n's have a tiny LED wind-up torch keyring, £1.50, now part of my EDC. Pretty bright light for it's size, and no batteries needed. In camping equipment.

Re: Intruder

Hello Technik

Trying to talk OH into another one, now we have a good excuse!

Good luck with your move, and get your place secure as soon as you can, I have a feeling things will get worse in UK as far as crime goes....

Re: What Preps are you doing this week

Re: Intruder

Hello again Thanks H, encouraging our existing hollies and hawthorn to thrive on the back fence so we hope they will get larger and bushier soon. Great link btw. Neighbours are a bit twitchy and putting their lights on the back at the least sound - fine by us as we haven't got a rear light sorted ye...
