nothing stopping you drinking the water used for cooking either, if its veg or pasta and you dont add salt to it while cooking drink it once its cooled, added bonus with veg is some vitamins and nutrients will be absorbed into the water whilst cooking

i got 50 oasis purification tabs for £2 off amazon, each does a litre, didnt think thats was too bad , they also had stronger ones for a couple of quid more , but in thought id go with the 1 litre ones as in an emergency its easy to get hold of a litre fizzy bottle

they have them in tesco for a pound at the minute, but i think it still works out better to order from the site

just seen that from thursday aldis are doing scotch broth for 49p a can and tinned haggis for 1.19, might make a change from the usual tinned goods

in an emergency situation they are good for adding bulk to stews/soups , whack them in with what ever you can find (unflavoured are best as choc or vanilla stew dont sound that appealing lol)
