Re: Pound heads sharply lower on Brexit concerns

Thats a nice gift :) :) :)

I noticed in northern Europe that the main tourist centres took euros and US dollars as well as their own currency - but not sterling.

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 6.

I like minimalism best as a style, but I do tend to stash a lot, even though I'm forever decluttering. Not all of it is food  I also have a vac cleaner that almost works  I have two wicker baskets  and part of me is so fed up with them round the house, and yet so unwilling to le...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 6.

I've been away, and sharing a room with my sister for 12 days. She came down with a cold on day 2: and I didn't! I'm astonished I haven't currently caught it - especially as she wasn't particularly good at coughing in the opposite direction from me. So it can't really have been airborne, and we were...

Re: Brexit in October?

I found a cheap fortnight's holiday, and went off to forn parts at 5 days notice - it was blissful not to be surrounded by the B word, although a couple of sets of people we met asked us what on earth was going on with the UK. I could legitimately say I had no idea

Re: Hi Folks

Welcome to the forum! Same question as Deeps, really, but also wondering if you ever go to C.A.T. near Machynlleth? Such a great place.

Best of luck to you and yours, jansman. We've had half a dozen downpours, quite short lived, but nothing unusual.

Hello 3D! I'm glad you've joined here as well as going back to the other place :) You really have been through it, haven't you :( I'm glad to hear you're mending, however slowly.

That's interesting, thanks! I might do that for the drawers, at least, if I don't end up using them the way I'm thinking.

The wire shelves would be useful for drying herbs? in the sunshine perhaps.
I could get big long stems of leaves that I want to dry, and start them off in the sunshine - sandwiched between the two wire shelves so they don't blow away :)

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 6.

Great reading all your preps! Hear hear :) some really good practical actions listed. I'm stuck cleaning my broken fridge freezer, so the disposal men don't refuse to take it on Tuesday :( Speaking of which: combo of freezer drawers and safety glass shelves from the fridge gives me a couple of smal...
