The Quad bands referred to are Amateur Bands not CB. The bands on the Wouxun are the 10m 6m 2m and 70cm amateur bands. The CB frequency range is from 27.60125 MHz to 27.99125 MHz. I would second that. Speakers use far more power. Using an earpiece has several advantages. 1) Lower power usage so your batteries last longer 2) You don't draw attention to yourself or if sheltering annoy those around you. 3) Discretion similar to above but you can hear news before those around you...
