Re: In the event of nuclear war...
Just with regards to 'wanting to die' and the realities of that. Many will not want to survive a nuclear war, but 1. We may not know whether the war is survivable or not. It may be full-on, it may be limited. 2. You will need to make the ultimate decision to live or die in: a/ The lead up to war. S...

Re: In the event of nuclear war...
There’s nowhere to run to. There’s nowhere to hide. The government would in all likelihood impose a travel ban so unless you have a yacht, you couldn’t get out of the country. I can see Edinburgh Castle from my window, it’s the natural aiming point for any missile coming in and Edinburgh is one of ...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 11
Question to the veg growers. I always worried that cats might do their business in my veg patch, which is a raised bed. So I covered it with a net on a frame. But that was a real pain. This is one of my emergency funds/shush money for my relatives that the tax man doesn't know about. Selling it all to make the profit and gambling the pri...

Re: Kale
Have saved a corner of the microscopic back garden for growing veg. And what I think would be most use to us is Kale. In Scotland, kale is big  - my granny called her entire back garden the kailyaird, although I'm sure there would've been loads of veg init, not just kale. So I'm looking fo...

Worst case: You plant them and nothing happens. True. Out they all go as soon as it stops pi55ing down :( Slightly off topic, visited Mum in Law's grave today ( anniversary ). Grave is swathed with bl00dy mare's tail. I won't be digging out the roots! I think WD40 on those!. So I expect to ...
