Fair enough. It’s a shame he is not ‘ on board’ as it were. Sadly, it doesn’t take Brexit or War or... pick your scenario. In my case it takes my dear wife’s cancer, ( she gets paid, I do not) to realise that a pantry full of grub is valuable when there is an income loss.

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 6.

We are fortunate to have a walk- in pantry, which for two of us , easily holds a couple of months worth of preserved grub. I dry lined a brick outbuilding many years ago with three ...

Re: Where do you grow your peppers?

I got in touch with PG about their teabags. I was assured that they were replacing plastic ' formers' with corn starch. This year. I see no indication of that on the packaging,( if I were them ,I would be shouting from the rooftops).I am going to ask again...

Re: Vacuum sealer

Vacuum packers are a good idea in the food industry. We use heavy duty jobs that gas- flush as well.Down the years that equipment has saved a lot of work to me personally, and made/ saved money for my employers. However, outside of the meat / food industry, people are not aware of the potential food poi...

Re: Where do you grow your peppers?

Glad you have had success. Down the years, I have had mixed results. I grow a few chillies to put in the freezer to last us the year. Ordinary peppers ( ‘Bell’ is too American), are not ( in my opinion) worth the effort and mollycoddling. My food garden is minimum effort, maximum return.

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 6.

However,Mrs J is still not 100% health- wise,so all the above may not happen.Definitely got to split firewood ...
